What jobespy does with your data, in plain English. No legal waffle. No vague assurances. Specific facts you can act on.

We never use your data to train AI models.

Your job search is private. Your applications, your conversations, your plans: none of this is used to improve AI models. Jobespy uses the OpenAI API for features like the Espy chat assistant. The OpenAI API terms confirm that data submitted via the API is not used to train OpenAI's models, and we have not opted in to any data-sharing programme. We verified this on 2 July 2026 and will re-verify it at each major terms update.

What the Espy chat assistant sends to our AI provider.

When you use Espy, your messages and relevant data from your jobespy account (such as opportunity details and contact notes) are sent to OpenAI to generate a response. We do not send raw uploaded files or email bodies unless you paste them into the chat yourself. Your Espy conversation history is stored for up to 12 months and can be deleted at any time from within the app. See our full privacy policy for the complete picture.

We never read your inbox.

Jobespy does not connect to your email. We do not ask for access to your Gmail or Outlook. You log conversations manually, the way you choose to describe them. We see what you tell us, nothing more.

We never connect to your LinkedIn account.

We do not ask for your LinkedIn password or OAuth access. If you want to import your LinkedIn data, LinkedIn lets you download a file of your own connections and career history. You upload that file to jobespy. We never touch your LinkedIn account itself.

Your data is yours. It is deletable and exportable.

You can delete your account and all your data at any time, from your account settings. You can export your data before you leave. No hoops. No support ticket required. When you are done, we are done.

Security, in plain English.

Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS, enforced). Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. We do not store payment card numbers: billing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS certified. We run security headers on the site. If you have a security concern, email support@jobespy.com and a human reads it.

Jobespy is a product of Beoned Ltd, registered in England and Wales. We are a small team building tools for people running real job searches.

I am Wayne, the founder. I built jobespy because I could not find the tool I needed when I was looking myself. Years on the hiring side of the table taught me how the process actually works. Months on the candidate side reminded me how hard it is when the tools are not built for the work.

We are a UK company. We take UK data protection law seriously. We take your trust seriously. That is the only basis on which this product makes sense.
